1. Statutory withdrawal for EU consumers

If you are an EU consumer buying online from a professional trader, you generally have 14 days after receiving the goods to withdraw without giving a reason. For multiple goods delivered separately, the period generally begins when the last item is received. If mandatory withdrawal information was not supplied, the period may be extended as provided by law.

2. How to withdraw

Before the deadline, email info@bidarch.com with an unambiguous statement including your name, account email, order/invoice number, item and date received. You may use:

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the contract for the following goods: [item/order]. Ordered on [date] and received on [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].

3. Returning the goods

Return instructions and the correct return address will be provided after notice. Send the goods within 14 days after notifying withdrawal. Unless the trader agreed otherwise or failed to provide the required advance information, the consumer bears direct return cost. Use packaging appropriate for valuable numismatic material and retain dispatch evidence.

4. Refund timing

The contracting trader refunds amounts required by law, including standard outbound delivery cost, within 14 days after being informed of withdrawal. For goods, the refund may be withheld until the goods are received back or evidence of dispatch is supplied. Extra cost for a premium delivery method need not be refunded.

5. Handling and diminished value

You may inspect an item as reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and condition. You may be responsible for diminished value caused by handling beyond what would be permitted in a shop or specialist viewing.

6. Exceptions

Withdrawal exceptions are applied only where legally valid and disclosed before the order. A sale is not automatically exempt merely because online bidding was used. The public-auction exception requires the legal conditions for a public auction, including the relevant possibility of attending in person.

7. Faulty, damaged, counterfeit or misdescribed goods

Withdrawal rights are separate from mandatory conformity remedies. Notify us promptly and provide reasonable evidence. Do not alter, clean or repair the item. For trader sales, mandatory legal-guarantee remedies and time limits apply. These rights are not limited to 14 days and are not displaced by auction terminology.

8. Private sellers

The EU statutory withdrawal and trader legal-guarantee regimes generally do not apply to purchases from a private individual. The listing must identify private seller status before purchase. Rights concerning fraud, authenticity, title and the agreed description may still arise under applicable national law.
